What we do
Releaser is a leasing and tenant-screening tool for property management firms that run 50 to 500 units, in the USA and Canada. Each property gets one shareable link. Applicants who open it answer your screening questions, Releaser checks their answers against the criteria you wrote, and the ones who meet them book a showing from your real availability. You see every inquiry and every showing in one place. Releaser covers the stretch from first inquiry to booked showing and stops there: no rent collection, no maintenance, no accounting.
Why we built it
Under 50 units, a spreadsheet and a phone still work. Over 500, you have a leasing department and an enterprise system to run it. Between 50 and 500 is where it breaks: too many turns for one coordinator to track by hand, not enough budget or appetite for a six-figure platform and a four-month implementation. That's the gap Releaser was built for.
We are based in Montreal, Quebec, and we announced Releaser publicly in May 2026. Building here shaped the product: we serve firms across Canada and the United States, and we take the privacy and fair-housing rules that apply to applicant data seriously. Releaser applies the criteria you write; the decisions stay with you.
Founding accounts
Every founding account gets a live setup call with us. We configure your first property together, walk through your screening criteria and your calendar, and make sure the first link you share works the way you expect. That is why we open accounts in batches rather than all at once: there are only so many hours in the week for those calls.
